Provocative Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
This delicious wine is a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon blended with other varieties of grapes. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from our Kreuse Canyon Hillside Vineyard. The Merlot grapes are from our Hardman Vineyard near Silverado County Club, and the Petit Verdot is grown on our Monticello Vineyard. The Syrah comes from the Carneros region.
With dark ruby red colors and a hint of purple at the rim, the bouquet is brimming with sweet cherry and milk chocolate, as well as caramel and cinnamon in the background. There are also hints of currant and sandalwood. The entry is smooth and balanced with medium body and flavors echoing the bouquet. The evolution is seamless with fine-grain tannins and ample acidity. The finish is very pleasing with a good length and balance.

Ahnfeldt Provocative Chardonnay
Our Provocative Chardonnay is from the St. James Vineyard in the Carneros area of Napa Valley. This vineyard features the Wente clone which produces a low yield, and bright fruit.
The wine was barrel fermented and aged in French Oak, and was bottled in April 2011.
Soft and rich, this Chardonnay shows layers of fruit, a bit of acid, elegance, with subtle oak touches.
